2nd Year Trainee Accountant

POSITION INFO:

2^nd YEAR TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT

A National firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors are looking for trainee accountants who have completed their undergraduate studies and are aspired to be become CAs.

Vacancies for 2^nd year trainee accountant is available in the Pietermaritzburg Office.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completed 1^st year of articles;
• Currently studying CTA through UNISA;
• Candidates who have completed their CTA will also be considered;
• Able to travel;
• Own vehicle and driver’s licence will be an advantage
• Must be willing to work overtime;
• Must have good communication skills both verbal and written;
• Must be well spoken and presentable;

Skills and Attributes:

• Engaging with clients (audit/ accounting readiness);
• Supervising junior trainees on assignment;
• Clearing review queries;
• Checking secretarial compliance (annual returns/ minutes);
• Checking tax compliance;
• Management of own productivity;
• Reporting the status of files to seniors and Senior Managers;
• Providing feedback to clients and liaising with client regarding queries;
• Must be able to deal with pressure and meet designated deadlines;
• Must be able to work within a team and manage expectations.

Job Specification:

• Individuals applying MUST be studying towards the CA (SA) qualification.
• The firm will offer on the job and in-house training in line with SAICA requirements to equip the individuals with the competencies to become future CA’s.
• The individuals will be bound by the SAICA regulations
