2IC TO RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER - BASED IN DURBAN

SUMMARY:
Our client who is a National Retailer based on a national basis in SA is looking for an experienced Junior Retail Operations Manager to join their team based at Head Office in Durban. The role will require a lot of travelling and looking after the KZN, Eastern Cape, Western Cape and Mpumalanga region. A male candidate is require.

POSITION INFO:

The main purpose of this role is to bring the brand to life in store by monitoring stock, driving a customer-centric culture, managing operational needs & improving organizational processes of our retail stores in approximately 30 stores in KZN/Eastern Cape/Western Cape/Mpumalanga Provinces.
The candidate would be required to execute company values through performing his daily job functions by:
- Conduct stock counts and store visits
- Implement and enforce company standards in-store – both the store and staff
- Maintain and increase standards of customer service
- Line Manage, motivate and train Sales Staff
- Oversee in-store merchandising
- Ensure store maintenance is optimal by conducting audits and reporting back to Head Office
- Increase and maximise sales and profitability by managing store specific inventory
Minimum Requirements and Key Competencies:
Matric
Relevant Qualification will be advantageous
5 years’ experience in a similar role as a Retail Manager managing numerous retail locations
Own Reliable Vehicle
Intermediate Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong Planning, Organizing, Decision making and Problem-solving skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal), People Management and Customer Service skills
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organizational skills – able to manage numerous stores
Durban based and able to work from home office when required
Willing to travel extensively and work necessary hours to meet with operational outcomes
