2D CAD Draftsperson

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a 2D CAD Draughtsperson to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing schematic diagrams in accordance with the applicable Engineering Design Specifications, Industry Norms and Relevant Legislation.

POSITION INFO:
The tasks you'll perform:

• Create intelligent P&ID’s in Autodesk Plant 3D, Bentley Openplant, Siemens, COMOS.
• Setup and maintain link with 3D Pipe Modelling software.
• Populate equipment data in the database.
• Generate standard deliverables from the database
• Generate custom database queries and reports
• Prepare drawings for checking, squad checking and issue; per Project requirements.
• Update redlines to show As-built status of drawings.
• Ensure that drawings comply with all relevant project standards and/or ruling statutory authority applicable to assigned projects.
• Ensure that all CAD files produced strictly comply with the necessary Group, Draughting and CAD project procedures.
• Ensure that all files produced strictly comply with the Group defined and project CAD procedures and are uploaded to the relevant folders in the Document Management System.
• Comply with all Company policies, procedures and instructions.

• Certificate, diploma or degree in engineering, CAD drafting or related field.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in using object orientated database CAD software.
• Proficient in intelligent object-orientated database software and 2D CAD software(e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Siemens, COMOS, etc.)
• CAD Database Configuration and Administration experience.
• South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Cape Town based
• Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
