2021_30 OT Implementation Technician

SUMMARY:
Our external client is looking for a resource to be based in the Platinum Western Limb region, primarily at the Amandelbult Complex. To be responsible for Implementation and tracking of the OT technical system projects with a focus on leading the Plan and Build activities of demands, initiatives, and projects.

POSITION INFO:

 Certification/ Qualifications

• Completed Grade 12
• Relevant Information Technology Certifications

• A+, N+, or equivalentessential
• Cisco qualifications advantageous
• RF qualifications advantageous
• MCSE/MCSA/MCITPMust Have
• Dell/HP certification advantageous
• Security certification - advantageous

6-7 years relevant IT technical experience

• Strong understanding of OT infrastructures especially Networking, Mesh networks, RF networks
• Strong understanding of OT Network architectures
• System analysis and integration.
• Orchestrate documentation of procedures, standards and activities.
• Information processing principles, methods and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of Cisco / Wireless Mesh architectures
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Servers,
• Propose workable solutions and improvements.
• Perform standard system installations with minimal supervision.
• Operate a variety of related Server, Software, LAN and WAN equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, hardware and network problems.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to effectively use judgement
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate other team players
• Microsoft Operating System installations, configurations and support
• Hyper-V cluster configurations, designs and support
• Anti-Virus experience in support, design and configuration (prefer Trend Micro, Symantec, McAfee)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft, Citrix, Backup solutions (Netbackup, Backup Exec), Security Architectures.
• Operate a variety of related Server, Software, LAN and WAN equipment.
• Windows 10 desktop support Must Have
• Cisco switch Configuration Must Have
• Wireless technology experience Must Have
