SUMMARY:
Durban. Fast-growing National Retail Chain seeks hands-on, customer focused Store Admin Manager with at least 3-4 years clothing retail stores management experience to join one of their well-known clothing retail brands.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
  • Develop workforce plans and ensure implementation of effective workforce tasking and performance management
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels
  • Be proactive in resolving issues and take immediate corrective action on out of lines when required
  • Ensure the physical environment of the store (safety, systems development) is aligned with customer service standards and legislative compliance
  • Develop and ensure the effective implementation of a maintenance plan for the store
  • Address all discrepancies related to financial and stock control issues
  • Communicate financial standards to ensure that all transactions, controls, and administrative documentation are processed according to Chain policies and procedures
  • Identify current and potential risk issues
  • Perform budget and financial management duties including
  • Analyze and manage financial and budget data for the store
  • Provide and analyze new business development performance reports
  • Analyse reports and identify problem areas regarding merchandise to address stock administration and DI problems with appropriate action plans
  • Conduct regular audits to check efficiency of execution of markdowns, hazard counts and management of high-risk stock items
  • Monitor data integrity for the store and ensure processes are in place to achieve optimal data integrity
 
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years clothing retail store management experience
  • Matric with relevant Diploma
  • Excellent customer insight and focus
  • Excellent decision making
  • Very hands-on and manages store / process productivity
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Guided by the control framework and is reactive with a planning scope of up to 2 weeks ahead
  • Understands how own processes impacts on other areas of the selling business processes (merch, marketing, visual, supply chain, IR)
  • Optimises the current ops systems and procedures by adapting to a dynamic stores environment
