Solar PV Design Engineer

SUMMARY:
Great opportunity for an Electrical Engineer or Technologist with Solar experience to work on exciting Commercial, Residential and industrial projects. If you have practical hands on renewables experience then this opportunity is for you.

POSITION INFO:

Solar PV systems design

Responsible for Yield Analysis

Performing Energy Yield Analysis using Helioscope & PVSyst

Reviewing financial models and using data generated to create proposals to client depicting financial feasibility of project

Determining suitable system size/ requirements using load profile and energy bills

Responsible for site inspections and ensuring construction is done correctly

Responsible for reviewing tender documents

Skills & Experience:

Attention to detail

Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)

Must have experience in Site inspections

Must have good interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with clients

Must be proficient in Helioscope or similar software

Projects experience 3KW – 3MW is advantageous

Must have a clear understanding of Regulations

Rooftop and ground mount experience is ideal

Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience in solar industry

Qualification:

BEng / BSc / BTech Electrical Engineering

Professional Registration PR.Tech or PR.Eng would be advantageous

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
