SUMMARY:
Our client in the hospitality sector, based in Grahamstown, seeks to employ an Assistant General Manager. This is a live-in position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:
  • Ensuring operational efficiencies throughout product.
  • Drive and sustain superior levels of guest service and guest satisfaction.
  • Play a strong role in contributing to the direction and culture of the organisation.
  • Training, mentoring, and monitoring of middle management, especially (but not only) lodge and villa managers.
  • Play a key role in interacting with guests regularly and ensure that all aspects of a guests’ stay are being catered to, and that pertinent information is transferred to the relevant department heads timeously.
  • Contribute to the creation, implementation and monitoring of budgets throughout the hospitality product.
  • Communicate courageously, frequently and respectfully with all members of the team.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a senior management role within a luxury safari operation for more than 3 years.
  • Any relevant hospitality qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Highly computer literate.
  • Excellent English in verbal and written format.
  • Experience in HR management and stock control management
  • Ability to contribute to and analyse financial information
